What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty or nose reshaping is a procedure that restructures the nose in order to improve its appearance and function. This surgery can be performed as either an aesthetic procedure, basically re-shaping of the nose to improve its appearance. It can also be performed as reconstructive nasal surgery, which means correcting birth defects and disfigurements that are result of injury. Rhinoplasty can also relieve nasal obstruction and improve one’s breathing. There are many ways in which a nose can be altered through rhinoplasty, including reducing or increasing the size of the nose, changing the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrowing the span of the nostrils, or changing the angle between the nose and the upper lip.
